Dr. Ghazi Al-Rawi

 Dr. Al-Rawi is the Founder and Chairman of Valuegate Investments. He is currently also:

  • Chairman of the Board of Riyadh Airports Company (RAC) and Chairman of the Executive Committee.
  • A Director on the Board of Matarat Holding Company (Matarat) and a member of the Executive Committee.
  • A Director on the Board of Qassim Cement Company (QCC), Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee.
  • A Director on the Board of Rua Al-Madinah Holding (RAH) company and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration committee.
  • A Director on the Board of The Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB), member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and member of the Risk Committee.
  • A Director on the Board of Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) and Chairman of its Audit Committee.
  • A Director on the Board of Middle East Paper Company (MEPCO) and Chairman of its Audit Committee.

Dr. Al-Rawi brings with him a wealth of institutional relationships, investment experience, and senior management experience in addition to strong leadership, governance, problem-solving, and communication skills from his roles previously either as a Board or Committee Member or as a Senior Advisor to several other regional private and public institutions, including BSF, BSF Capital, Saudi Ports Authority, National Medical Care Company, Taqnia, ACWA Holding, Sanabil Investments, National Commercial Bank, King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, Saudi Capital Market Authority, and Saudi Arabia General Investments Authority.

 

Dr. Al-Rawi also has strong entrepreneurial skills and experience and has founded and/or co-founded several businesses and companies in different sectors. From 2006 to 2015, Dr. Al-Rawi was a Founder and Managing Partner of Eastgate Capital Group, a leading regional private equity and real estate investment firm. Previous to that, Dr. Al-Rawi was with McKinsey & Company.  Dr. Al-Rawi was also a faculty member at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, and prior to that worked for leading telecommunication companies in the United States.

Dr. Al-Rawi holds an M.S. degree and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. degree in Management Science & Engineering

with a focus on Finance and Investments, all from Stanford University.
