Dr. Omar Kazi is a physician-executive and healthcare operations leader with over a decade of experience at the intersection of clinical medicine, healthcare technology, compliance, and large-scale medical operations. At Northgate Investments & Consulting Group, Dr. Kazi serves as President of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Division, where he leads the firm’s healthcare strategy across advisory, operations, acquisitions, and growth initiatives in the United States and international markets.
In this role, Dr. Kazi is responsible for overseeing Northgate’s healthcare portfolio, including healthcare technology, revenue cycle management, clinical operations, regulatory strategy, and integrated care platforms. He works closely with executive leadership, investors, physicians, hospital systems, and institutional partners to design and execute scalable healthcare solutions that improve operational efficiency, financial performance, and patient outcomes.
Dr. Kazi brings deep domain expertise from his long-standing leadership role at eMedical Practice, a separate and independent healthcare technology company, where he has served in senior executive positions since 2013. At eMedical Practice, he played a critical role in expanding the company into a nationwide healthcare technology platform supporting medical practices across multiple specialties. His work encompassed operational leadership, provider engagement, compliance oversight, and the deployment of integrated solutions spanning electronic health records, practice management, revenue cycle management, telehealth, and patient engagement systems.
In addition to his operational leadership, Dr. Kazi has extensive experience in healthcare compliance and regulatory governance, having served as Chief Compliance Officer within a highly regulated healthcare environment. His expertise includes HIPAA compliance, risk management, internal controls, and the development of scalable compliance frameworks—experience he now leverages at Northgate to support healthcare investments, cross-border transactions, and institutional partnerships.
Dr. Kazi earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. His unique background as both a practicing physician and senior healthcare executive allows him to bridge clinical realities with business strategy—making him a trusted leader for physicians, healthcare operators, investors, and government stakeholders alike.
